HIGH STREET/MERIDEN ROAD – UPDATE
Further detailed programming information from Solihull Highways indicates that for the next two weeks two way working at various sites will take place. Followed by road closures during w/c 23 August limited to two to three hours at the working sites. This information has been verbally communicated to the High Street Businesses.

Notice of Temporary Road Closure
Solihull Council gives notice under Sections 14 and 15 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991), being
satisfied that all traffic should be restricted or prohibited to ensure that the following
works can be undertaken in safety:
Location: High Street/Meriden Road, Hampton in Arden, B92 0AZ – from the junction
with Marsh Lane for a length approximately 1 mile.
Date(s) and time(s) when restriction will apply: temporary closures will be in place for up
to 5 days from 9.00hrs until 16.00hrs daily, between the extents of Monday 16th August
2021 to Friday 27th August 2021. Informative signs will be deployed not less than seven
days before any particular road will be closed.
Reason for restriction: Installation of raised tables (traffic calming measures).
Works on behalf of: Solihull MBC.
Diversion route: Signed via the A452 Kenilworth Road, A45 Coventry Road and B4338
Catherine-de-Barnes Lane. Vice versa for the opposite direction.
Access will be maintained through the site for Police, Fire and Ambulance Services
responding to emergencies.
Pedestrian access to all properties within the restriction and access through the
restriction will be maintained along defined routes throughout the period of closure.
