Jon Hayes, Head of Network Delivery for Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) has confirmed that IGO bus service 89 bus operated by a company called the Accessible Transport Group (ATG) on behalf of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), became insolvent on Friday 22nd March 2019. Administrators were appointed to take control of its affairs.

The last day that ATG operated service 89 was Friday 29 March 2019.  However, Jon Hayes has confirmed that TfWM has been able to secure a new operator for bus service 89. This service will be operated by Diamond Bus from Monday 1st April 2019.  There will be no change to the days or times of operation and the usual roaming zones in Balsall Common and Meriden will still operate. However, a new telephone number has been set up and should be used to make your request for journeys in the roaming zones. Requests can be made by calling 01527 813120 and must be made by 5pm the day before you wish to travel.

We will keep you informed of any changes. TfWM will also use their website to share information about any developments as they happen at www.networkwestmidlands.com
