HS2 – Information about Vegetation Clearance and Possible Road Closure

We have been informed during May there will be occasions when LM (on behalf of HS2) will need to set up temporary traffic management for safe vegetation removal along the A446, A452, B4438 and around Northway Island.   This may include temporary lane closures and/or traffic signals. LM have stated that the works have been designed to minimise disruption and maximise safety.

Traffic signals could be in operation Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 3pm. Teams will be on site one hour before and one hour after the works to set up and secure the site at each end of the day.

Full details can be viewed here:

The dates for work to be completed are subject to change depending on site and weather conditions, but you can check any adjustments via:

Village Tidy Up – Save The Date

The date of this year’s Village Tidy will be Saturday the 23rd of June between 9.30am and 11.30am.  This is the weekend before the Village Festival to make sure the village is looking its best for the festivities.  We need volunteers to help spruce up the village and so the more the merrier – please come along and show your support.  Meet at the George Fentham Meeting Room to register and collect equipment. Refreshments will be provided to all the hard workers at the end.  We look forward to seeing you all!
